Become a Vignettz Tour Guide
Design self-guided walking tours, set your own price, and get paid when people unlock them. Vignettz takes a 20% revenue share; the rest is yours.
Tours are about the place — not just your life
The vignettes on the explore map are personal: things that actually happened to the person telling them, at the spot where they happened. Tours are different. A tour is you, boots on the ground, telling people about a place — and it doesn't have to be your own memoir.
Make a real-history tour of your neighborhood's oldest buildings. A whimsical-history tour of legends, hauntings, and half-true bar stories. A food-crawl narrated stop by stop. A campus tour freshmen will actually enjoy. If you can walk it and talk about it, you can make a tour of it.
How it works
1. Record and pin stories in the Vignettz app. Once they're approved, they're eligible to become tour stops.
2. In the Tours tab, tap + to design a tour: pick your stops, order them into a walking route, write a description, and set a price (or make it free).
3. Submit it for review. Once approved, it goes live for anyone browsing tours near your stops.
4. When someone unlocks your paid tour, your share accrues to your guide account.
Build your following
Your Vignettz profile is your storefront. People who love one of your tours can follow you to catch the next one, and you can link your Instagram right on your profile — so the audience you build walking people through your city carries over to everything else you make. Guides with a track record of well-rated tours are who we feature first.
Getting paid
Payouts aren't live yet — we're building the payout system now, and registering as a guide is how you get first access to it. Register your interest below and we'll contact you with payout onboarding (identity verification and bank details) as soon as it's ready. Any revenue your tours earn in the meantime is tracked against your account.
